Mandarin Duck is an medium-sized duck of bright colours. It lived earlier mainly in East Asia. But nowadays its population is decreasing due to widespread forests destruction where in Russia and China. In Russia it is included in the Red Book. It is usually hunted for not the food but for its beauty. However there are many species of Mandarin Duck as well in Europe and Northern America.
