America was discovered in 1492 by Christopher Columbas, a Spanish salesman. He was born in Italy in 1451 but then he moved to Spain. Columbus was the first person who crossed the Atlantic Ocean and he was the first to cross the Caribbean see.In the 1492, when he saw the land, he thought that it was the territory of India or china. But he was wrong: he discovered a new land — America.
